If your mind rarely feels quiet, you’re not alone. Anxiety can look like overthinking, overwhelm, or always being the one who holds everything together. Therapy can help you feel steadier and more like yourself.
Does This Sound Familiar?
- You replay conversations long after they end.
- You’re not sure what you actually want or need.
- You often seek reassurance before making a decision.
- You feel responsible for keeping things running smoothly for everyone else.
- Stress leaves you overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself.
- You have difficulty turning your brain off at night in order to fall asleep.
- You often feel tired, but also unable to be still.
How Therapy Can Help
My approach is empathic, relational, practical, and active. Together we’ll look at the patterns behind your thoughts, emotions, and behavior. The goal is to help you use the control you have, rather than letting anxiety dictate your decisions. Depending on what fits you, I draw from:
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to notice and interrupt anxious thought patterns
- Somatic techniques to understand how stress shows up in your body and reduce the intensity of feelings
- Motivational Interviewing and Exposure techniques to identify what makes you anxious and then learning to do / face those anxiety inducing experiences.
- Solution-focused approaches to identify what actions can be taken to reduce triggers and prevent or begin recovering from burn out.
Is This the Right Fit?
I work with adults 18 years and older. This may not be the best fit if you want therapy focused on children or teens, or intensive treatment for complex trauma.
