Hi, I’m Dr. Courtney Whitehead. I am a licensed psychologist in Georgia and North Carolina. I earned a doctorate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (Chicago campus) with a focus on family systems. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Haymount Institute for Psychological Services in Fayetteville, NC.
I started New Normal Psychology, LLC in 2021 with the hope of offering meaningful therapeutic services, while removing the stigma related to therapy, particularly in communities of color. Through years of clinical experience in private practices, I offer a collaborative approach that meets a client wherever they are on their journey to creating sustainable changes. I use a combination of techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and interpersonal therapy to create a safe space within each session for my clients.
As a creative-minded person and one with positive energy, I do not shy away from meeting clients where they are and working with them to create their unique path to finding clarity and compassion for living their life on their terms.
